Jackie
Hi all! My name is Jackie. I was born and raised in a small town in Massachusetts. Of course, I always wanted to be a model but I was a really shy kid and never really gave it a fair shot.
A few years ago, I was bartending at the club that I still work at in Providence, RI when one of my customers claimed he was a photographer that did work for FHM, Cosmo, Glamour, etc. He told me he had a studio in NYC and the reason he was in Providence was because his son still lived there. I figured he was full of it so I didn't pay much attention. He was with a girl who he claimed to be his makeup artist. She kept going into the club to look for me after that night because I never called either one of them.
Finally about 6 months later, I decided to give her a call and see if this guy was for real. Long story short, I took the bus out to NYC and he took some great shots of me. I couldn't even believe it was me! We have done lots of work together since then. He is convinced I am going to make it in this big scary world of modeling/acting. And so am I!
I keep my bartending job for a couple of reasons. I can't work a regular 9-5 job like my friends; I would die sitting behind a desk all day everyday. And I am leaving my days open to do extra work in movies, take acting classes, and so that my schedule is free to take modeling jobs. I am going to be an actress although I have lots of work to do because I still have that pesky shy side to me. I am looking forward to busting out of my shell.
