BIOGRAPHY Brigitta Callens (born September 28, 1980, Oudenaarde) was Miss Belgium 1999.
She spent her childhood in Oudenaarde, Flanders. During her teens Brigitta moved to Ghent, to study languages. After she has won the Miss Belgium contest she became a successful model and signed a contract with Stafford Miller to lend her face for the Sensodyne International campaign.
In 2002 she moved to Antwerp. The reputation of Antwerp as Fashion City made her staying there. Belgian fashion designers have undeniably acquired a reputation at world-level, thanks to the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts and the "Antwerp Six": Walter van Beirendonck, Dirk van Saene, Dries van Noten, Dirk Bikkembergs, Ann Demeulemeester and Marina Yee.
